Sometimes I get so caught up with administration and strategy, that I lose sight of the fact that ministry is always about people.
I received an email recently from a boy in Year 10 at High School. Here is an extract (with original spelling!):
"im from the sunshine coast i am 16 years of age . ive lived hear for about a year and a half . let me start by telling you a bit about my self i became a christian about 2 years ago and had been very on fire as it were, then i moved to the sunshine coast. this brought me down in spirit for about 7 months and it wasnt till last week i was givin a book called "awesome on the inside" this brought me right back on track . the points raised in this book were very good for every young teen anyway to my point i was wandering if i could get my hands on 125 books!. i want to buy one for every one in my grade ten class. i know this could be very expensive and i no you cant just hand them out for free . i was wondering if u could give me a discount or something cause i beleive if this book can bring me back on track and teach me soo mutch then it could to any one! i have a part time job and i am willing to work extra to get suficiant funds . thanks bro your book has done alot for me and i plan to get out to as many people as i can god bless"
I received another letter from a young man in Africa - who had received a copy of the bible study "Life to the Max"
"I am a boy of sixteen years and I got this book from a woman at a bible school and I filled in the book and sent it to you. Please send me some more books you have written so I can learn and have a maximum and generous life"
Wow! It was with pleasure that I responded to both these young men, and I sought to bless them further. This means that many of their friends are now being blessed the same way . For those of you who are supporting me for ministries like this, thank you. It is people like you who enable this to happen. Your generosity is enabling us to encourage young disciples right around the world.
